Immerse yourself in the creative universe of Jacques Prévert, iconic French poet and screenwriter. Discover his one-of-a-kind apartment, an inspiring place that has hosted close friends such as Picasso, Vian, Calder and Miró.

Author of Paroles, scriptwriter of Les Enfants du paradis and lyricist of many songs, Jacques Prévert moved in 1955 to the 6 bis cité Véron, close to the Moulin Rouge, where his neighbor was Boris Vian. Between 1953 and 1955, at the request of Jacques Prévert, the architect Jacques Couëlle transformed the apartment located at 6 bis de la Cité Véron into a "refuge" all white and bathed in light, inspired by the interior designer Alexandre Trauner. The rooms are full of books and souvenirs from Prévert. His office has become a kind of cabinet of curiosities. There are popes, statuettes, a garlic braid, strange jars created by Jean-Pierre Maury, handwritten notes pinned to the wall, a photograph of Brigitte Bardot or a street child from her film Aubervilliers, the material needed for making collages, paintings of all kinds... A true Prévert-style inventory, this space holds a multitude of surprises and testifies to the rich imagination of the artist, as well as the originality of a place that the association "Chez Jacques Prévert" strives to preserve.
